Why We Use Multiple Laser Technologies

At Arizona Beauty House, we use both the advanced Cartessa Motus AY and diode laser technology.

The Motus AY combines Alexandrite 755 nm and Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelengths, allowing us to safely treat a wide range of skin tones and hair types. Its advanced Moveo technology and cooled sapphire tip gradually heat the hair follicle while keeping treatments comfortable.

Our diode laser provides another effective option for targeting unwanted hair, particularly dark, coarse hair. Having multiple technologies allows us to select the best laser for your skin, hair, and treatment area.

  • Am I a Good Candidate?

Most healthy adults with unwanted hair are good candidates for laser hair reduction.

Laser treatments work best on hair that contains pigment, with dark and coarse hair generally responding most effectively. Blonde, red, gray, and white hair may not respond as well.

During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your skin, hair, medical history, and goals to determine the safest and most effective treatment plan.

  • What to Expect

Appointments can take anywhere from a few minutes to approximately one hour, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.

Because hair grows in different cycles, a series of treatments is necessary for optimal results. Treatments are generally scheduled every 4–8 weeks based on the area and its natural growth cycle.

Before your appointment, shave the treatment area and avoid waxing, tweezing, or threading, as the hair follicle must remain intact for the laser to target it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does laser hair reduction hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as gentle warmth, tingling, or a light snapping feeling. Our advanced cooling and Moveo technology help keep treatments comfortable.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients need approximately 6–10 treatments for optimal results. The exact number depends on your hair, skin, treatment area, hormones, and individual response.

Are packages available?

Yes! We offer laser hair reduction packages for clients completing a recommended treatment series. Packages provide the best value and make it easier to stay consistent with your treatment schedule.

Can all skin types be treated?

Yes. Having Alexandrite, Nd:YAG, and diode technology allows us to safely customize treatments for a wide range of skin tones.

Can all hair colors be treated?

Dark brown and black hair typically respond best. Blonde, red, gray, and white hair contain less pigment and may not respond effectively.

Is laser hair reduction permanent?

Laser treatments provide long-lasting hair reduction but cannot guarantee the permanent removal of every hair. Some clients may need occasional maintenance treatments due to hormones, aging, medications, or new hair growth.

Can it help with ingrown hairs?

Yes. Reducing hair growth can significantly improve ingrown hairs, razor bumps, and irritation caused by shaving or waxing.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime. Temporary redness, warmth, or mild swelling around the follicles may occur and usually resolves quickly. Avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure before and after treatment, and follow all aftercare instructions.
