Good to Know Before Your Appointment

Arizona Beauty House front porch at golden hour

Welcome in. A few simple things that help every appointment go smoothly, so you can relax and get the most out of your time with us.

GETTING HERE

Arizona Beauty House, 397 S Gilbert Rd, Suite 110, Gilbert, AZ 85296.

We have plenty of parking right outside, and our studio is wheelchair accessible.

Please arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in. If you are running late, call us at (480) 766-1505 and we will do our best. Late arrivals may need to be shortened or rescheduled so the next client is not kept waiting. Our cancellation policy asks for 36 hours notice to avoid a fee.

THE PORCH AND THE GROUNDS

One of the things we are complimented on most is our grounds. They are relaxing, inviting and calming, and honestly there is not much like it here in Gilbert. It is a hidden gem.

During the nice weather months, please use the porch. Come a little early, or stay a little after your appointment. Grab a coffee from the Gilbert House restaurant, or bring a book and your favorite iced tea and just hang out. With the restaurant opening some night hours, the porch is a lovely spot to unwind in the evening too. You do not have to rush off. That calm is part of the Arizona Beauty House experience.

HOUSE RULES

Child free studio. Children cannot wait in our waiting room, and seating there is reserved for clients. If your sitter cancels last minute and your appointment is a quick in and out service, ask us about a one time courtesy exception, where your child can come back into the treatment room with you. For longer appointments, please arrange childcare or let us reschedule you. Full children policy below.

Please silence your phone while you are with us. Our space is small and sound carries, and every client here is trying to relax, including you.

One guest rule of thumb: our treatment rooms and waiting area are small, so please check with us before bringing an extra guest along.

BEFORE A MEDICAL GRADE FACIAL, PEEL OR MICRONEEDLING

A cute but important reminder. In the days before any medical grade facial, chemical peel or microneedling appointment:

Stop all actives a few days ahead, including retinoids, vitamin C serums, exfoliating acids and scrubs. Three to five days is a good rule.

Keep your skin out of the sun, and no tanning beds. Sun stressed skin cannot be treated the same way, and your provider may have to reschedule a peel or laser service if you come in sunburned.

Skip waxing and other hair removal on the area being treated in the week before.

Come in with clean skin when you can, and tell us about any cold sores, new medications, or recent treatments, including antibiotics and isotretinoin. Some of these change what we can safely do that day.

Not sure whether something counts as an active? Call or text us before your appointment and ask. We would rather answer a quick question than have to turn you away.

Coming straight from work? If you are wearing waterproof mascara, head to the restroom first. We keep cleansers and makeup wipes in the bathroom for a quick removal, especially mascara. Waterproof mascara is stubborn even for us, and starting with a clean face means more of your appointment goes to your skin, and you do not leave with raccoon eyes.

BEFORE LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser has its own rules, and they matter for your results and your safety.

Shave the area being treated before you come in, ideally the night before or the morning of your appointment. Please do not come in with hair on the area. We do not shave at the studio, so come in ready to roll.

No tanning and no spray tan before laser. Keep the area out of the sun in the weeks leading up to your appointment, and please tell us if you have had a recent spray tan.

Come in lotion free, with clean skin and nothing on the area being treated. The same clean, product free skin helps with your other appointments too.

CHILDREN POLICY (full text)

We love our clients, and we know many of you are moms like us. We also know childcare falls through sometimes. To keep Arizona Beauty House the calm, relaxing place you come to for your appointments, and to keep everyone safe, we have put a clear children policy in place.

Our studio is small and cozy, which we love, but our waiting area only has a few seats and they are reserved for clients with appointments. Sound also carries easily in our space. Our treatment areas hold professional products, instruments and equipment that are not child safe, so children cannot be left unattended in the waiting room at any time, and children are not able to sit in on regular appointments.

The one exception is a genuine last minute pinch. If your babysitter cancels on you and you have a quick in and out appointment, like a 15 minute brow appointment, we can make a one time courtesy exception and your child can come back into the treatment room with you. Please understand this is a one time courtesy for emergencies, not something we can do on a regular basis.

For longer appointments, please arrange childcare ahead of time, or just let us know and we will happily reschedule you. No hard feelings at all.

Thank you so much for understanding. This policy protects your relaxing experience, your fellow clients, and your little ones, and it lets our team give you the full attention you are paying for.
